Nurturing the Path to Happiness

Today's employees seek more than just a paycheck. They yearn for an environment where their skills are valued, growth is fostered, and their well-being is prioritized. Attracting and retaining top talent has become a priority for organizations worldwide. As Tektitans we feel proud and lucky to work with so many gifted and adorable colleagues. Here are some key ingredients that foster our luck - at least we believe they do:

No. 1: Create a culture of respect

When work is fun, everyone is helped. Tektit understands the power of a positive company culture built on respect and inclusivity. The team members feel valued for their unique perspectives, experiences, and contributions, regardless of their background. Encouraging open communication and fostering teamwork creates a sense of belonging and empowers individuals to bring their authentic selves to work.

No. 2: Let employees grow

Investing in the growth and development of employees is a hallmark of a great employer. Providing opportunities for learning from colleagues (and others) not only enhances individual skill sets but also contributes to the overall success of the organization. Tektitans support each other with sparring sessions whenever needed and benefit from external coaching. That is an invest in our employees' long-term success.

No. 3: Push life balance

There is a live outside of work. As a modern employer Tektit understands the importance of flexible work arrangements, such as remote work options, flexible hours, and family-friendly policies. We introduced the four-day week right from the start of the company. Employees gain an extra day to pursue personal interests, engage in self-care, or spend time with loved ones. This arrangement fosters greater job satisfaction, employee well-being, and productivity.

No. 4: Forget hierarchies

Micromanagement stifles creativity and motivation. We embrace a culture of no hierarchy, where decision-making is decentralized, and employees have a greater say in the direction of the company. This approach leads to a sense of empowerment, collaboration, and innovation. Breaking down traditional hierarchies encourages open communication, independent thinking, idea sharing, and a more inclusive work environment.

No. 5: Share the pain...

A crucial aspect of a good employer-employee relationship is transparency. Tektit provides full transparency regarding salaries, processes, and finances. That is not always easy, but creates an atmosphere of accountability. When the team understands how decisions are made (and participate), how their salaries compare, and how the company's finances are managed, they feel on eye level.

No. 6: ...share the gain

Recognizing and appreciating employees' efforts and achievements is a powerful motivator. At Tektit, we recognise hard work, give constructive feedback and celebrate the meaningful impact on our customers. And money continues to be a factor too. Competitive remuneration demonstrates our commitment to fair pay and recognises the value that employees bring to the company.

Even with a four-day week we spend a large part of our lives at work. Tektit works hard to make this time enjoyable and successful for everyone. According to our claim "We create a world in which work makes people happy and fulfilled."

Tektit has carried the "Employer of the Future" seal from the German Innovation Institute for Sustainability and Digitalisation since May 2023.
